It's not looking good for the once premier MMA organisation, after losing it's TV deal with Fuji TV in the summer of 2006 amist claims that the organisation had links to organised crime and the Yakuza, things started to go down hill.

Since Zuffa bought Pride in late March 2007 they have added fighters such as cro-cop, nog, shogun etc.... to the UFC Las Vegas based promotion.

Zuffa have also failed to secure a TV deal in Japan for Pride and Dana White has stated that it wouldn't make good business sense to bring the brand over to the US (at an estimated $44m cost to 'straighten it out'). He also stated that it is very hard to do business in Japan, and perhaps they dont want us over there.

In UFC 75 - champion vs champion in which both UFC and PRIDE light heavyweight champs - Jackson and Henderson will be fighting, Dana White confirmed that it won't be for both belts, but for a unification bout - the winner taking the title of undisputed LHW champion and the UFC belt, with the pride belt being retired.
