ok - so this topic will come up sooner or later, so heres my oppinion.

A lot of people are saying boxing is dead etc... and MMA is now the dominant combat sport. To some extent i can agree with a lot of the views put forward, as boxing is IMO in great decline combined with the huge rise in MMA's popularity.
However i am still a fan of both sports, i don't really care which is the 'better' sport, I do prefer MMA for numerous reasons:
- full range of fighting techniques as opposed to just punches in boxing.
- exciting well matched fightes, as opposed to the junk boxing has been throwing out recently.
- the fact that a prospect dosn't have easy fights to keep the loss collum '0' - many top MMA fighters have several losses. wheras boxers don't seem to have a competetive fight till they rack up 20 straight wins.

but will i be watching the next ricky hatton fight? - you bet i will.
