Raikkonen wins Formula One championship

Raikkonen wins the F1 championship after a dramatic race in Brazil.

All eyes were on Hammilton, though after a shakey start he lost several places when he went off the track trying to overtake his team mate on the first lap.
Things got worse for Hammilton when gear problems saw him lose more than 40 seconds and dropping to 18th position.
Hammilton battled back well finishing in 7th position with Raikkonen winning the race.

Controversy ensued when 4th, 5th and 6th placed cars from teams Williams and BMW Sauber, were being investigated for using 'cooled fuel' which is not allowed to be below 10 degrees cooler than the temperature at the track. If these cars were to be disqualified then Hammilton would have moved up the places to finish the championship 2 points clear, however no action wast taken to affect the race result.
