With all of these styles from The North Face on sale, where to start? How about with a new rain jacket? The North Face Venture jacket and the Women’s Venture jacket are perennial favorites, and won several “green” awards this year for an updated fabric that reduces the amount of petroleum required to manufacture the waterproof membrane. These jackets are as breathable as they are waterproof, keeping rain out but also allowing sweat to evaporate from your skin through the jacket… so you don’t feel like you’re wearing a garbage bag!
For high-activity use or more serious exploration, Men's Waterproof Jackets, part of the Summit Series, stretches for maximum range-of-motion and features a low-profile hood that fits perfectly under your helmet for climbing or mountain biking in less-than-ideal conditions.
Of course, it’s almost July, which means you’re probably headed for a beach somewhere and you’ll want to get wet. That works, too. Check out Women's Waterproof Jackets, the perfect choice for summer activities that include water. For men,
The North Face Waterproof 3 In 1 Jackets Womens In Black, The North Face Class V Cargo is quick-drying,
North Face Mens Nuptse Goose Down Jackets In Dark Blue, mesh-lined and lightweight; the women’s version is all of the above in a great-looking print that’s perfect with sandals.
What makes the tent so special? It’s really a number of things. Most importantly- in my book at least- is that it’s extremely light and easy to set up. When the wind’s howling and it’s dumping, you don’t want to be fumbling with an over-engineered tent that’s difficult to set up. The VE 25 is as simple as it is light, and you can be out of the elements in just moments. While the VE 25 is technically a three man tent, it easily can sleep four, as long as you’re willing to put some of your gear in the vestibule. I’ve even heard of rescue situations where six people have hunkered down in it. If you’re more of a boat/car camper, you’ll also be happy to know that a queen-size air mattress fits nicely in the VE 25, with room to spare. Yes, it’s a little pricier than other tents, but it will cover your butt in any possible camping condition you may come across. Not to mention, it will most likely last you the next couple of decades.
